Im not sure to cut it short or not.
My friend suggested i could braid my hair.

I agree that long layers would look best. Perhaps the layers could start around your chin, and the longest layers could go to your chest. I think that style would be more flattering than really long hair that's all one length.
hm, cut it a little bit shorter, with layers.
